| a little bit more ABOUT ME... |
Having studied photography, then film & television about 20 yrs ago in the UK, I immediately started working in the TV industry & have gained a diverse range of experience:
Studio & location lighting camerawork - single & multi-camera;
Camera operation in multi-camera environment;
live & pre-recorded programmes;
& PSC/ENG operation.
Although I now specialise as a Lighting Cameraman, I have taken on various production & technical roles over the years.
I produce/direct & edit my own projects when required, & have worked on live/OB shows - from setting up the OB equipment & rigging studios to working in transmission operations & post production facilities.
In 2000 I was a fortunate to become a founder member of Filmmakers for Conservation (FFC - www.filmmakersforconservation.org).
And in 2002 I set up Wildlife Asia Ltd (www.wildlifeasia.org) – with the objective of using the media to bring the conservation message to Asia through the creation of Asia’s Premier Wildlife & Environmental Film Festival, and other media-related initiatives.
I have shot in the following countries: China, France, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Philippines, Qatar, Romania, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, Tanzania, Thailand, & the UK.

There is another C that is close to my heart: Conservation. This is both my passion and my motivation. Although I enjoy all aspects of my work, I am very much focusing my career on all aspects of wildlife and conservation film production.
This is demonstrated through my involvement in Filmmakers For Conservation and Wildlife Asia, and my move to Singapore.

Through Wildilfe Asia I am working to develop the wildlife filmmaking industry in Asia and am helping to nurture greater appreciation for the natural world through our festival and such initiatives as the NTU Filmmaking Expeditions with CERS (China Exploration & Research Society) and Canon Singapore, and ECOmmunicate - a new youth communication competition set up with Canon Singapore.
